On the 7th July 2003 Railtrack are to commence work on the River Llynfi just 100yrds above the junction with the Ogmore. Repairs and improvements to an existing railway bridge situated adjacent to Pandy Park, Tondu, has become necessary for public safety. The works are planned for 10 weeks, however after consultation between the Ogmore Anglers Association and Railtrack, a maximum of 4 weeks wet work is planned. Thus, preventing a minimum of discoloration to the river course and silt movement. The main river works are planned to take place during the earlier parts of the week, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, to avoid any inconvenience to the ogmore members, but unfortunately there are going to be times during the days to come when the river will be discolored and will undoubtedly effect the daytime fishing.
