After a site meeting on the 19th May 2004,
with Lang's construction, welsh Water, Ogmore Anglers
and the Land Owner, it has been agreed for the commencement
of essential repair works to the mains water supply running
under the Ogmore River at the Dipping Bridge, Merthyr
Mawr.

These works to be undertaken by Welsh water
and Lang's, involve the excavation of the river bank to
expose the mains water line & relining the existing
pipe. These works are planned to start in July 2004 and
due to last for approximately 4 weeks.
The Ogmore Anglers have been assured that
the works will be carried as quickly as possible to avoid
any inconvenience to club members, but unfortunately there
are going to be times when the river will be discoloured
and thus undoubtedly effect the daytime fishing. All procedures
will be implemented to reduce any inconvenience thus,
preventing a minimum of discoloration to the river course
and silt movement.
