Just
before the Council elections last June the old Council
Cabinet almost completed the land sale to Macob. In the
event the sale agreement was never signed and the new
political coalition at BCBC asked for a land report.
This comes before
the new BCBC Cabinet on
WEDNESDAY
26TH JAN 05 AT 2.30 PM AT THE
COUNCIL OFFICES IN ANGEL STREET
The cabinet have 6 options to look
at. One option is to retain the land and not sell to Macob
( alias Island Farm Developments Ltd) If they choose that
option then the whole planning application fails and there
will be no development.
IFAG
strongly supports this option - as you will imagine. We
are asking everyone who can, to attend and show us the
support we have had throughout the campaign.
The Audit Commission has come down
very hard on BCBC for changing the Planning Committee
after the initial island farm refusal and it has said
they should alter it back to a smaller, trained Planning
Committee.
We at IFAG
were vindicated by these comments; and so were the electors
of the Borough who were incensed by the decision proposed
by Jeff Jones to alter the committee.
IFAG look forward to your support
on WEDNESDAY 26TH JAN 05 AT 2.30 PM AT THE
COUNCIL OFFICES IN ANGEL STREET.
many thanks for all your support
and help in the past
